Research Interests

Creating programs to address the mental health needs of students, with a particular emphasis on stress and trauma. Training healthcare providers (e.g., dentists, physicians) on providing effective and sensitive care for survivors of traumatic events (e.g., sexual assault, domestic violence, combat, community violence). The relationship between traumatic events and physical health symptoms, particularly engagement in preventive healthcare services. Psychological and societal factors that promote resilience in survivors of traumatic events.
