Research Interests
IMAGE, a family-based HIV/STI intervention engaging Black girls (ages 14-18 years old) and their male caregivers. IMAGE focuses on building healthy relationships, role modeling, and communication to better protect Black girls. IMAGE is delivered over Saturdays and Sundays at local community-based organizations on the South and West sides. Our RCT compares IMAGE to a standard health promotion curriculum to evaluate the curriculum's impact on STI incidence and behavior change outcomes, while assessing theoretical themes around protecting Black girls' sexual and reproductive health.
