    Research Interest:
    Lab research projects seek to optimize health information technologies and medical devices so that they best support clinical work. In particular, I'm interested in promoting collaborative practices and teamwork in healthcare.

    To work on projects, RAs would learn about: simulation, measure development and validation, formatting requirements (e.g., APA formatting), statistical analysis, qualitative methods, and literature review techniques.

    Qualifications of a Student:
    Majors of Interest: Health Information Management, Psychology, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Pre-Med, Pre-Dentistry, Pre-health sciences.

    GPA 3.0 or above.
    Working knowledge of computers.

    Brief Summary of what is expected from the student:
    • Conducting literature reviews
    • Reading scholarly articles
    • Writing sections of reports, papers (based on writing abilities)
    • Preparing and helping to edit presentations
    • Data entry, transcription, and analysis
    • Development of their own research ideas that can be presented at conferences, class projects, etc.
    • Other day to day research activities on both applied and academic research projects as needed

    Preference given to: students who are highly motivated and willing to learn additional information to address interdisciplinary research challenges. Human Subject Training is required. Research is conducted on the west side of campus. Demonstrate the ability to think analytically and think creatively.
