    Research Interest:
    Physics of II-VI semiconductors grown by molecular beam epitaxy; Opto-electronic materials and devices.

    Some of the Microphysics Laboratory (MPL) research areas:
    1) CdTe/Si growth and surface studies,
    2) CdTe-based solar cells
    3) MBE Growth of II-VI Materials
    4) Growth and study of ZnO materials
    5) Gamma-ray, x-ray material growth and studies

    Minimum time commitment in hours per week: 10

    Qualifications of a Student:
    Physics or engineering major; Junior or senior standing; Commitment to a minimum of two semesters

    Brief Summary of what is expected from the student:
    Assists in preparing experiments, delivering, cleaning and maintaining laboratory materials for research studies;
    Assists in taking laboratory instrument readings
    Reads and follows recent developments in the area.
    Attends group meetings.
    Submit bi-weekly or monthly work reports
