    Qualifications of a Student:
Ideally, the student will be a major in the humanities with significant research and writing experience. A junior or senior is preferred. Organizational skills and flexibility are both important. Some knowledge of environmental or ecological matters encouraged.

Brief Summary of what is expected from the student:
I am beginning work on a museum to be established at the Jordan River Peace Park, a transborder park planned by Friends of the Earth Middle East where the Jordan River will be rehabilitated through sustainable means. Because of my work on the Jordan River as a border as well as on the history of the map of Israel/Palestine, I have been asked to prepare exhibitions for the museum based on the narratives and maps I have collected over the years. My undergraduate research assistant will help me to organize and collate this material, supplement or seek out new material, contact other researchers and designers involved in the project, and to conceptualize the exhibits. Because I want to write about the experience of planning the museum, the student will engage in research about other transborder parks and museums in zones of conflict.
