    Research Interest:
    I study the neurobiology of opioid receptors. In particular, my lab seeks to elucidate the cellular signaling events that regulate behavioral effects of delta opioid receptor activation. Mylab is also conducting research exploring the role of opioid receptors in migraine. Overall, my aim is to translate in vitro findings to animal behavioral models, with the ultimate goal of translating those results to clinical applications, particularly for the treatment of emotional disorders and pain.

    Minimum time commitment in hours per week: 10

    Qualifications of a Student:
    Minimum GPA of 3.0. Preferred major in biological or biomedical sciences, and prior experience would be a plus.

    Brief Summary of what is expected from the student:
    Students will be expected to work with mice, and handle animal tissue. They will perform basic behavioral experiments, tissue preparation, immunohistochemistry, and Western blot.
