    Research Interest:
    Health promotion, nutrition and eating behavior, exercise, obesity, diabetes. My current work is directed at examining the association of diabetes self-management, as well as lifestyle and psychological factors with cardiovascular risk in adolescents and adults with diabetes. I also have an interest in the interaction of culture and disease and culturally focused interventions to promote cardiovascular health.

    Minimum time commitment in hours per week: 3

    Qualifications of a Student:
    Must be organized, self-directed and interested in health research. Must complete Investigator 101 Training and HIPAA training through the Office of Protection of Human Subjects.

    Brief Summary of what is expected from the student:
    Assist investigator with any of the following: data collection, review and organization of data, literature searches. No prior experience is needed.
