Research Interest:
I am looking for student researchers on two related projects:
(1) coding the 2024 Presidential elections party platforms to identify 'pledges' per scholarly definition.
(2) coding the party platforms from 1948-2024 for non-pledge statements.
Training and practice will be provided.

Minimum time commitment in hours per week: 5 or more

Qualifications of a Student:
Min GPA 3.0 preferred, although I will consider students with lower GPA.

Brief Summary of what is expected from the student:
Research assistants will 'code' election platforms for promises/pledges, and for other statements. Coding manual and training will be provided.
