Research Interest:
Pressure ulcer prevention with the use of assistive technology devices, such as wheelchair seat cushion, mattress, and shoe insoles. Integumentary management with the use of non-invasive biomedical instrumentation, including laser Doppler flowmetry and spectroscopy. Mathematic modeling of ulceration using perfusion biomarkers.

Minimum time commitment in hours per week: 5

Qualifications of a Student:
minimum gpa 3.5/4, bioengineering, rehabilitation science or kinesiology student preferred, honors college student preferred. Given that I had experiences advising undergraduate thesis, this will be a great opportunity for student who is interested in completing an undergraduate thesis or pursuing graduate degrees.

Brief Summary of what is expected from the student:
Depending on the major, student will be expected to assist with clinical data collection (wound assessment, blood flow data, tissue oxygenation data etc.) in laboratory as well as at collaborating hospital sites, process biological signals using time-frequency analyses and/or develop mathematical model of ulcer formation.
