Research Interest:
Balance and gait rehabilitation in Neurological and Geriatric populations. Fall risk prevention in the same. Biomechanics, Motor control and motor learning. Clinical trials comparing conventional rehabilitation with alternative therapies such as Yoga, Tai-Chi,computer-based virtual Rehabiliation. Minimum time commitment in hours per week: 5 Qualifications of a Student:
Minimum GPA 3/4. Preferred major - Kinesiology, Bioengineering, Computer Science Honors college studetn preference. Prior work experience preferred not required. Brief Summary of what is expected from the student:
Assist with: Recuriting subject population. Post fliers, make presentations at community centers, park districts etc. Data entry into spreadsheets/data bases Data collection and analyses (will be trained) Implementing phone surveys Ability to write Matlab/Labview code will be a big bonus.
