Qualifications of a Student:
A strong interest in early childhood development and/or pursuing an advanced degree from a program in psychology, public health, social work or medicine. Ability to speak in a public setting is required. Preference will be given to candidates in the honors college, those with a higher GPA, and/or experience with working with children and their parents.

Brief Summary of what is expected from the student:
Applications are welcome for candidates interested in parent-child interactions and impacts of enhancing parenting behaviors to promote early child development. Students will deliver a brief parent-directed intervention to parents while they wait for their child to be seen by his/her pediatrician at the University of Illinois Outpatient Care Clinic (1801 W. Taylor). Other responsibilities include assisting with recruitment, ordering supplies and intervention materials, management of study data, conducting phone assessments, scoring data entry of assessments, and other project-related activities as requested.
