Research Interest:
I have two major projects: 1. One is a study testing an intervention to reduce diabetes distress and fear of hypoglycemia in young adults with type 1 diabetes. I am seeking a motivated independent student to help with this study. 2. I am also working with Dr. Sirimon Reutrakul an endocrinologist at UIC with an interest in sleep. Together we are seeking students to partner with our research on sleep. For those in the Honors College who are seeking a capstone project, there are pieces of these studies that you could add for your capstone.

Minimum time commitment in hours per week: 3

Qualifications of a Student:
Must be organized, self-directed and interested in health research. Must complete Investigator 101 Training and HIPAA training through the Office of Protection of Human Subjects.

Brief Summary of what is expected from the student:
Assist investigator with any of the following: participant recruitment, data collection, review and organization of data, literature searches. No prior experience is needed.
