Research Interest:
Develop new methodologies to determine drugs causing deaths in Cook County, with emphasis on the new abused drugs. ELISA, GC, GC/MS/MS, spectrophotometry, coximetry, and other analytical instruments are available for research projects. 11 professional forensic toxicologists in the lab.

Minimum time commitment in hours per week: 10

Qualifications of a Student:
Prefer major in Chemistry, Pre-med, Biological Sciences (Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics) with 1 semester analytical chemistry and 2 semester organic chemistry classes.

Brief Summary of what is expected from the student:
Reserach projects with good publication opportunities. Excellent credential for career in forensic medicine/toxicology.
