Research Interest:
Illicit substance use, injection drug use, HIV risk behavior, hepatitis C risk, psychiatric comorbidity, emotion dysregulation, ecological momentary assessment

Qualifications of a Student:
Minimum 3.0 GPA Preferred majors: psychology, sociology, public health Junior or Senior standing Coursework in statistics & research methods Experience with Word & Excel required Experience with Android phone desired Additional computer skills desirable, e.g. SPSS, database management

Brief Summary of what is expected from the student:
Student will assist with participant scheduling & retention, and conducting interviews at COIP field sites in Northwest and West Side neighborhoods. Must be able to spend at least one 4 hour block of time between 9am and 5pm on at least one day per week at a field site. Student may also assist with literature reviews, data entry and quality assurance, database management, and general office work. Opportunities are also available for projects based on analysis of existing data from a study of mental health of young injection drug users.
