Trauma-informed care for youth and young adults with adverse childhood experiences (involvement in justice system, child welfare, community violence/violent victimization) Biomarkers for psychological trauma Child and adolescent mental health Educational and health outcomes of youth involved in the child welfare and justice systems Community reintegration programs in faith-based settings

Qualifications of a Student:
Preferred majors: Psychology, Public Health, Social Work, Biostatistics Students must demonstrate an interest in research or has prior research experience with populations outlined in the research interests. Computer literacy is a must. Must have prior experience with data entry or statistical analysis software (like SPSS, STATA, Atlas). Must have completed a research methods or statistical analysis course/workshop. The student must be able to work independently, be responsible, and pay attention to details. The student must have good writing skills. Submitting a writing sample is a plus.

Brief Summary of what is expected from the student:
The student will be involved in general research duties such as literature reviews, IRB applications, report and grant writing, manuscript preparation for journal articles, conference presentations, data collection, data cleaning and entry, and data analysis. Must complete IRB training. The student will get credit as a contributing author for projects, conferences, manuscripts etc.
