Contemporary theatre performance with an emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration.

Minimum time commitment in hours per week: 9

Qualifications of a Student:
Upper division (Junior or Senior) theatre major ONLY. Dramaturgical background and interest an asset but not necessarily required. Self-motivated. More interested in what (s)he doesn't know than what (s)he knows and aggressively self- directed to learn. Credentials required depend on the specific research project; circumstances and projects vary.

Brief Summary of what is expected from the student:
Working at full potential. Excellent time management, verbal and written communication skills. A collaborative temperament. A genuine interest in contemporary performance techniques. For 2013-14, the research will center on compiling detailed information on a number of contemporary theatre performance innovators and other artists whose work has a major performance component: designers, film makers, visual artists, etc.
