Research Interest:
Government performance, management of public organizations, bureaucratic politics, public policy process and analysis, diversity and social equity, environmental justice, environmental and energy policy Part of my current research projects centers on how the policy design and implementation of both federal and state governments affect the environmental wellbeing of minority populations and low-income communities. My another research interest lies in the exploration of how government’s results-based management agenda affects public organizations’ performance.

Qualifications of a Student:
Minimum GPA: 3.0; Preferred major: social sciences, in particular public policy, political science, urban planning and policy Year in college: junior/senior preferred Training in data management, statistical analysis, GIS, geospatial analysis, and visualization is a plus

Brief Summary of what is expected from the student:
Participating students will assist me in collecting and managing data (e.g., the American Community Survey from the Census Bureau, regulatory compliance and enforcement data from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency). Also, students will help me search and review literature.
