Research Interest:
My lab is interested in identifying molecular mechanisms of heart failure. In particular we are looking at the transcription regulatory mechanisms and microRNAs involvement in heart failure induced by diabetes and by high blood pressure. We are also interested in the micrRNAs involvement in cardiac remodeling that occurs following birth. Minimum time commitment in hours per week: 10 Qualifications of a Student:
GPA: 3.0(minimum). Basic understanding of DNA, RNA, gene transcription. Prior experience of some lab work like gel electrophoresis is a plus. Brief Summary of what is expected from the student:
