Research Interest:
Cancer, symptom assessment, symptom management, frailty, exercise interventions, and quality of life in cancer patients receiving intensive therapy. My current work is two-pronged: 1) Developing a biobehaviorial model of fatigue in cancer survivors; and 2) Testing an exercise intervention to mitigate problems associated with physical inactivity and fatigue in patients with cancer who receive a hematopoietic stem cell transplant. Minimum time commitment in hours per week: 10 Qualifications of a Student:
Must have completed the first year of undergraduate study. Must have completed Investigator 101 Training and HIPAA training. Brief Summary of what is expected from the student:
Position requires interaction with human subjects, thus, the student must have excellent communication skills along with ability to present oneself in a professional manner. Position will require setting up appointments with subjects, entering data, and assisting with data collection procedures. No prior experience is needed.
