Bioinformatics; Evolution of mammals (particularly rodents and primates); functional anatomy and neurophysiology of mastication (chewing and biting); evolution and mechanical properties of teeth; plasticity of muscle (how muscles respond to increases and decreases in use). Techniques: animal dissections, immunohistochemistry, Western blots, microscopy

Minimum time commitment in hours per week: 8-10

Qualifications of a Student:
Working knowledge of Labview essential; Preferences: honors college students with prior lab experience; experience with dissections; 3.0 minimum GPA; Work-Study eligible
