Research Interest:
Technical Direction for live theatrical productions. Lighting as an expressive artistic element. Scenery as a graphic and expressive artistic element. Exploring and using atypical construction materials in scenic fabrications.

Minimum time commitment in hours per week: 10

Qualifications of a Student:
Preferred Theatre major with strong interest in scenery construction and lighting, or related interests in scenic/decorative environments. Prerequisites of THTR 150 and 250 or 256 and 283 preferred but field experience also acceptable. Sophomore level or above, or Freshman with significant arts experience.

Brief Summary of what is expected from the student:
Responsible self-starter with a healthy amount of curiosity for exploration with materials and problem solving skills. Not afraid to get dirty. Should have basic knowledge of power tools.
