Research Interest:
Principal Investigator: Dr. Amy West Research Coordinator: Amy Peters We are conducting a study of the effectiveness of a structured family-based psychotherapy (called child- and family-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy, or CFF-CBT) for children with bipolar disorder. The research team at UIC’s Pediatric Mood Disorder Clinic wants to understand the most effective way to treat bipolar disorder in children. This study focuses on improvement of symptoms associated with Pediatric Bipolar Disorder (PBD), global functioning, and psychosocial functioning. This study is conducted by Dr. Amy West and funded by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).

Minimum time commitment in hours per week: 4

Qualifications of a Student:
We are looking for an advanced undergraduate majoring in Psychology or related field. Student must be detailed oriented and have data entry experience. Familiarity with Excel and SPSS statistical software is a plus.

Brief Summary of what is expected from the student:
Primary responsibilities will be data entry and the maintenance of participant materials. Secondary responsibilities can include listening to and coding assessments sessions; as well as literature searches.
